This thangka is part of our temple's sale. It has been part of many of Khentrul Rinpoche's empowerment ceremonies. From time to time we make these blessed objects available to the community if the Thangka has been replaced with a hand painted or larger version in the same location. This way a practitioner has a chance to use the blessed object at home or in their temple. This one was use in Bodh Gaya for the Kalachakra Empowerment as well as in Puerto Rico.

The wrathful aspect of Kalachakra known as Vajravega is an extremely powerful form of spiritual protection. Representing the primordial wisdom of the central channel, Vajravega, along with his retinues of protectors, create an impenetrable shield around practitioners of the Vajra Yoga Path.
Thangkas are traditional scroll paintings that are used as supports for meditation. They usually depict various representations of deities, mandalas, and enlightened beings. Since the outer representation of deities is often one of the first things we encounter, it is extremely important for these representations to be painted accurately in order to create the best karmic propensities for the teachings to flourish in the mind of the student. Khentrul Rinpoche has taken great care working closely with master Thangka painters and relying on the source texts to ensure the authenticity of each form.
